A photojournalist freelancing from Frankfort, Ky., I've worked for newspapers since graduating from Western Kentucky University's photojournalism program over 15 years ago. Newspapers are closing and cutting staff, especially photography, since moving many of their news services to the Internet. I continue to explore the art and development of photography and look for freelance opportunities that will keep me in camera gear doing what I love to do. suzanne.feliciano@gmail.com http://suzannefelicianophotojournalist.weebly.com
I live in Lexington, Kentucky, and I am now at work on three series of photographs: one of British formal gardens, a second of American gardens, and a third of individual flower portraits. All of these series feature color palettes with subtly graduated tonalities. Strong geometries lend order to individual compositions. Prints are made on heavy, textured watercolor paper which softens edges. The theme of abstraction versus depiction is present in all of these images, and the end result is consistently picturesque and romantic, but stylized. norihall@insightbb.com
